TIPS AND TRICKS
1) LEARN TO SEARCH BY DATE RANGE TO LOCATE CONTEMPORARY SOURCES IN DATABASES BY USING THE CUSTOM DATE RANGE FILTER OR TWEAKING THE EXAMPLE QUERIES AT RIGHT (Satanic Verses was written in the late 1980s, so consider roughly 1988-1992)
2) CONSIDER YOUR SEARCH TERMS. EXAMPLES INCLUDE "magical realism" or "The Rushdie Affair" or "Indian Migration and United Kingdom" or "Indian Migration and Britain" or "post modernism and literature" as examples
3) REMEMBER TO LOG INTO DATABASES ANY TIME YOU ARE WORKING OFF CAMPUS WITH A LIBRARY RESOURCE. See off campus access info below
