Have you ever shown a youtube video in class? Designed a lesson with help from PBS Learning Media? Linked to an online textbook freely available? Pointed students to Khan Academy videos and tutorials? 

If yes, then you are already using open educational resources in your classes. OER offer teachers, and students, access to scholarly material online--freely, and openly. They provide transparency in teaching and learning and promote re-purposing in ways that work for you.

OER take learning out of the classroom and into a networked environment.
