As the weather gets colder and the days get shorter, I often find that my motivation to get work done after school or at other times lessens. I always know I'll need to go into these months with specific strategies to help me stay focused, while also making time for myself so I don't burn out. Here, I've compiled strategies and methods I use regularly in the colder months and all year round. This page isn't meant for anyone to follow to a tee, because it's what I've found works best for me personally, but I hope that something on here inspires you.

Throughout the Fall and Winter, I often find that I burn out a lot quicker, and everything around me piles up, so in maintaining productivity, I also find that I need methods to feel centered. When I start feeling this way, my instinct is to curl up in bed and doomscroll, but I know that this may actually make things worse, so I try to find longer-form content and things to do at the same time.

Another thing that I find helps keep me in the present is journaling. Even if it's only for 5 minutes, I just write down anything and everything that is on my mind in the present moment, and then I move on. Often, I feel lighter and more aware of the world around me
